Welcome to the forum Thor. It was nice to hang out for a few last night, beyond the "yo what's up" the other day.

There are plenty of guys here that either have frequented the track, or still do. The current head track junkie is Jason (Jason_41). That guy goes to the track more often than I change my underwear

Welcome, Thor. I'm glad you decided to join the forum. Too add what Mike said, I'm surprised Jason hasn't bought property down at Jennings.

On a separate not so separate issue...

I'm going to take this opportunity to bring this up publicly. Mike and I were talking recently about this little issue. We both agree this isn't the best way to increase our members or the best advertising for this site.

As a female rider, I meet lots of other riders. I guess guys aren't intimidated about approaching a female rider as they are other guys. From time to time, I've tried to bring a rider into our little group. You bozos have a tendency to ostracize them and/or automatically assume I'm hottailing it with these guys. As a result, these riders are turned off from joining any group rides or joining this forum. Stop being buttheads and try a little manners please. We were all n00bs once.

Welcome Thor!

Oh yeah, I'm a noob, too. Been lurking here a while, so here's my formal introduction.

I've only been riding 2 years. Started on an 83 Nighthawk 650, after a year on that, I bought a 2007 Yamaha FZ6. Kinda new to Charleston, too, moved down from DC in Feb 06. Great weather, not enough curves.

I met DK last Friday when he was kind enough to put new rubber on my rims for me. I'll try to make Wings, ect. one night and meet some of you folks.

Welcome to the forum as well, uhh, Dark

If you've been lurking for a while, I don't have to tell you what a bunch of characters we have here, or that you might need thick skin around some of them

Welcome, dar_isz. Glad to have you here. Are you here by yourself? Or do you have family here?

Welcome Thor. A buddy of mine is selling his race bike.

10psi? Shoooot. Glad you checked it.

That used to be my sister's bike before it was Stephen's. She took great care of it. The admin, Mike for this forum actually lowered it.

Where all have you taken it?

I plan to make my bike street ready this weekend, so send me a PM on myspace. Maybe I can show you some safe roads where you don't get into traffic.

Very smart of you to take it slowly. You'll earn the respect of the riders on this board with more thinking like that. Kudos.

Hey everyone, I somehow missed this thread so I'll introduce myself.

My name is James and I just picked up a CBR600RR 07. I also have a VR-4 and a GSX (both are for sale).

I'm taking the MSF course on the 11th assuming there is still room.

I suppose I ought to write something here, even though I am not all that new...Unfortunately many people on here already know my sorrows! Most people call me Joe, and though I hate to admit it, I am buddies with "Gatman"...and he is the one who brought me to this forum. I have a 2002 R6...or at least I think so...Something about 1999/2000 wiring/electronics???! Since I bought my bike back in March, it has mostly sat at Dereks shop. I bought a piece of shit and tried to fix it up...It looks much better now, but doesnt run so hot. Hopefully it will be fixed this week, and I can actually get out and meet/ride with some of ya'll...Oh, yeah...I am in the AF, so I am not actually from around here...Minnesota is my true home!
